Student Support Team

We are excited to share some updates about the development of our Student Support Team. This initiative builds on the work previously carried out under the Pastoral Care Team, with a renewed focus on enhancing the well-being and overall school experience of all our students.

The Student Support Team is a dedicated group of staff members committed to providing both individual and collective support for students. Its primary purpose is to identify and respond to the academic, social, emotional, and personal needs of students, ensuring that each student feels supported and empowered to thrive both in and out of the classroom.

Core Members of the Student Support Team

Mr. Ciaran Dowling Acting Principal

Mr. Martin O’Keeffe Deputy Principal

Ms. Justina Keenan AEN Coordinator

Ms. Eimear Reilly Guidance Counsellor

Ms. Reiltin Geoghegan Chaplain

Key Objectives of the Student Support Team:

  • Promote Well-Being: Foster a positive and inclusive school environment where every student feels valued and cared for.
  • Provide Support: Identify students who may benefit from additional assistance and develop tailored strategies to meet their needs.
  • Collaborate with Parents: Work in partnership with parents and guardians to support each student's progress, maintaining open communication and providing resources to ensure consistency between home and school.
  • Offer Guidance: Assist students in navigating academic or personal challenges by offering advice, mentorship, and opportunities for growth.

All matters discussed and handled by the Student Support Team are treated with the utmost confidentiality. Our priority is to ensure that students and families feel secure and respected when seeking support.

The Student Support Team is not only for students experiencing challenges but is also a resource for those seeking advice, encouragement, or opportunities for personal development.

We strongly believe that a holistic approach to education—one that supports both academic achievement and personal well-being—is essential for helping students reach their full potential.
