The Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme (L.C.V.P.) is made up of two main Link Modules and is supported by the students’ core Leaving Certificate subjects.
Link Module 1: Preparation for the World of Work
This module helps students understand what employers are looking for and how to get ready for employment. Students will:

Explore different career options

Learn how to write a CV and cover letter

Practice interview skills

Take part in a work experience placement

Learn about rights and responsibilities in the workplace
Link Module 2: Enterprise Education
This module develops students' creativity and initiative by encouraging them to understand and engage in enterprise. Students will:

Organise visits to local businesses

Meet and interview entrepreneurs

Take part in mini-enterprise activities

Learn how businesses are set up and run

Develop teamwork and project planning skills
Assessment
L.C.V.P. is assessed through:

Portfolio of Work (60%) – This includes items like a CV, career investigation, work diary, and more.

Written Exam (40%) – Held in May of 6th year. It includes video analysis, a case study, and questions on the world of work and enterprise.
