Leaving Certificate Business provides students with a practical understanding of how business operates in the real world. Assessment in Leaving Certificate Business is based on two components:

• Final Written Examination (100%)
  The 3-hour written exam is set and marked by the State Examinations Commission (SEC) and includes:

  • Section A: Short-answer questions testing a broad range of topics.

  • Section B: Applied business questions that require students to apply their knowledge to real-life business scenarios.

  • Section C: Long-answer questions offering deeper analysis and evaluation of key business concepts and case studies.

There is no project or coursework element; all assessment is through the final exam.
